NaturalGreen Premium Lawn Program

Seven Professional Applications. Six Convenient Visits. One Better Lawn.

NaturalGreen is a complete lawn-care program designed specifically for cool-season lawns in Pennsylvania.

The program includes:

  • Six professionally timed fertilizer applications
  • Targeted weed control during every regular visit
  • Two layers of spring crabgrass prevention
  • Biological soil support and beneficial microorganisms
  • Summer micronutrients and premium iron
  • Nutsedge control included at no additional charge
  • One separately charged preventative grub-control application

Our seven applications are completed during six scheduled visits. Beginning in 2027, the separate grub-control application will normally be performed during the same visit as Round 2.

Unlike basic weed-and-feed programs, we do not use the same mixture on every lawn. Our technicians inspect each property and select weed-control products based on the weeds present, lawn condition, weather and time of year.

Visit 1: Early-Spring Foundation

Typical timing: Mid-March through late April

Our first application provides controlled-release fertilizer to support early spring color, root development and steady growth.

We also apply Prodiamine to create the lawn’s first protective barrier against crabgrass and certain other annual weeds before they emerge.

Existing dandelions, clover, chickweed and other early-season weeds are treated with the appropriate specialty weed control when conditions allow.

Visit 2: Spring Growth and Extended Crabgrass Protection

Typical timing: Late April through early June

Our second spring application feeds the lawn during its strongest growing period while extending its protection against crabgrass.

We use Dimension during this visit because it provides continued pre-emergent protection and can also control very young crabgrass that has already started growing.

Using Prodiamine during Visit 1 and Dimension during Visit 2 provides a more complete crabgrass strategy than relying on one product for the entire spring.

Broadleaf and grassy weeds are also inspected and selectively treated.

Application 3: Annual Durentis Grub Prevention

A separate application and separate charge

Grub prevention is a separate application within the NaturalGreen program.

Beginning in 2027, it will normally be applied during the same property visit as Round 2. This gives customers seven professional applications during six convenient visits.

Grubs live below the surface and feed on grass roots. By the time damage becomes visible, the lawn may already be thin, loose or easily pulled away from the soil.

We use Durentis to prevent grub damage before it begins.

Why we chose Durentis

Many conventional grub programs use older insecticide chemistries. We invest in Durentis because it provides excellent season-long grub control with a more favorable profile for bees, earthworms and many other beneficial organisms.

Research comparing chlorantraniliprole—the active ingredient in Durentis—with certain older insecticides found:

  • Bumblebee colonies exposed to chlorantraniliprole developed normally compared with untreated colonies
  • Earthworms and other soil organisms experienced little or no measurable impact in comparative turf studies
  • One preventative treatment can provide season-long protection against major white grub species
  • Its highly concentrated formulation requires a very low application rate

We do not claim that any insecticide has zero environmental impact. We chose Durentis because it provides powerful grub protection while fitting our more bee-, earthworm- and firefly-conscious approach.

Grub prevention is separately documented, listed and charged from the six standard fertilizer and weed-control applications.

Visit 3: Early-Summer Nutrition and Biological Soil Support

Typical timing: Early June through mid-July

As summer approaches, the lawn needs more than additional fertilizer.

This application combines controlled-release nutrition with TriForce PC, a biological soil amendment containing beneficial microorganisms, humic acid and a prebiotic food source.

These ingredients help support soil biology, nutrient availability and root-zone function during stressful summer conditions.

Your technician will also inspect and treat actively growing broadleaf, grassy and specialty weeds when conditions allow.

Visit 4: Summer Color, Stress Support and Included Nutsedge Control

Typical timing: Mid-July through late August

Summer heat, drought, traffic and inconsistent watering can place significant stress on Pennsylvania lawns.

This application combines measured nutrition, continued biological soil support and premium iron to maintain color without relying entirely on heavy summer nitrogen.

Nutsedge control is included

Nutsedge grows faster and lighter green than the surrounding grass. It cannot be controlled effectively with ordinary broadleaf or crabgrass treatments.

Many lawn-care companies classify nutsedge as an additional specialty service. NaturalGreen includes nutsedge control at no additional charge when treatment is appropriate.

Our technicians commonly use SedgeHammer or another halosulfuron-based product specifically designed for sedges. Follow-up treatment is included when appropriate for customers who remain enrolled in the complete program.

Visit 5: Fall Recovery and Targeted Weed Control

Typical timing: Late August through early October

Fall is one of the most important recovery periods for cool-season grass.

This application provides fertilizer to help the lawn recover from summer stress, rebuild density and develop stronger roots. It works especially well alongside fall aeration and overseeding.

Fall is also an excellent time to control difficult perennial weeds. Your technician identifies the weeds present and selects the appropriate product rather than relying on one general-purpose herbicide.

Not every lawn receives every product. Treatments are selected based on the specific weeds present, turf condition and weather.

Visit 6: Late-Fall Winterizer and Cool-Weather Weed Control

Typical timing: Mid-October through late November

Our final application helps prepare the lawn for winter and the following spring.

Late-fall fertilizer supports root development, winter energy storage and faster spring green-up.

We also treat dandelions, clover and other broadleaf weeds that remain active during cooler weather. Properly timed fall weed control can reduce the number of weeds that survive winter and flower the following spring.

Specialty Weed Control Throughout the Season

The same herbicide cannot control every type of weed.

Our technicians have access to a complete professional toolbox for common and difficult weeds, including:

  • Triad Select for common broadleaf weeds
  • Escalade 2 for difficult broadleaf weeds
  • Turflon Ester Ultra and other triclopyr products for wild violet and ground ivy
  • Acclaim Extra for certain grassy weeds
  • SedgeHammer and other halosulfuron products for nutsedge
  • Defendor for appropriate cool-weather weed control
  • Surmise Pro for carefully directed nonselective treatment
  • Additional professional products when needed

These are common examples and not a complete list of every product we may use.

Products are selected based on the weed species, grass type, lawn condition, temperature, weather and label requirements.

A More Natural, Biologically Enhanced Approach

NaturalGreen is not a certified organic program.

It combines biological soil-health products with carefully selected conventional treatments to provide a more environmentally conscious option without sacrificing professional results.

Our approach includes:

  • Controlled-release fertilizer
  • Beneficial microorganisms and humic ingredients
  • Targeted weed control
  • Specialty products used only when needed
  • One preventative lawn-insect application annually
  • No routine broad-spectrum surface insecticides within the standard lawn program
  • A premium grub product selected for its performance and favorable beneficial-organism profile

Children and pets should remain away from the lawn during treatment and until liquid applications have completely dried. Once dry, normal lawn use may resume unless different instructions are provided.

Why Choose NaturalGreen?

NaturalGreen provides more than basic fertilizer and dandelion control.

Customers receive:

  • Two complementary crabgrass-prevention products
  • Controlled-release fertilizer
  • Biological soil support
  • Premium summer iron
  • Weed inspection during every regular visit
  • Included nutsedge control
  • Specialty treatment for difficult weeds
  • Premium Durentis grub prevention
  • Transparent access to product information
  • Seven professional applications during six convenient visits

Seven applications. Six visits. One complete premium lawn program.
